A/N: I thought about this kind of headcanons while I was trying to fall asleep. 😬

The game is part of the second season from Squid Game, so if you haven't seen it yet but want to watch it- This writing may contain slight spoilers! 😶‍🌫️

That man really hates playing games with you together. He isn't showing, but he is afraid of losing you in one of those games especially when it comes to the thought of losing you 'cause he is not able to protect you ...

He has the will of a leader and he may be pretty strong, physically and psychologically, but not knowing which game you'll join together almost kills him ever and ever again.

That's why Aguni always tries his best to convince you to play different games but this time he lost the discussion.

Thanks god it's not heart game the two of you joined, but clubs.

Bro, that man breathes a sigh of relief, you wouldn't believe it.

No chances he will leave your side, he stands by you and follows you everywhere you go, no matter what.

And he is watching you the. whole. damn. time.

Standing on the circling plate, he will touch you with his elbow when you start moving your body because of the playing song.

"Don't forget, it's all or nothing. Stay focused and stop dancing, you need to concentrate."

... He is finding it pretty cute actually but who is he to confess?

Ah, the plate stops moving and the song stops playing. A voice tells the number of people each group needs before running in one of the rooms you need to hide to win this game.

Good for you, nearly everybody knows Aguni.

And nearly everybody is fine with whoever wants to build a group with them, I mean everyone is just trying to survive ...

"A group of 3 people?" "Can't be this hard to find one more- no time to lose!"

Be prepared, he will carry you over his shoulder without hesitation ... He just grabs you and flicks you over ...

"Wow, alright, calm down Aguni, I have legs myself, you know?!" "Daily dose of training."

Same as Aguni, Arisu wouldn't step away from your side, leaving you alone in the crowd of people you may or may not know by even their names.

He's a cutie pie. While standing on the moving plate, he would stand by you as near as possible, just to make sure he isn't losing you.

Plus he wants to make sure you know he will always be there for you and no matter what happens, he isn't going anywhere without you.

He lost the most meaningful people in his life already. It broke him. Losing you- it's hard to say if he would make it another time.

Still, different from Aguni , he wouldn't mind moving with you to the song a little.

Actually it would be pretty fun to him, dancing to the rhythm with you.

For a second he would forget why you guys are even here ...

Lord have mercy, he loves you for that.

If he is able to, he would even sing along, sadly korean doesn't belong to his strength ...

Arisu grabs your wrist, not thinking about it twice, and drags you behind him, towards the door closest to you.

The strategist of this game.

Nobody would find a sample in this game as fast as he does.

Play with him the first and second round, and he will be able to guess the number of group members for every following turn.

"They will do everything to kill as many people as possible." "You don't say." "It's important to know. Based on that, the numbers are chosen." "Are you really trying to find a ... system behind this game?" "I'm not trying, I already found it. Just stand near me and everything will be okay."

Remembering the last games you played with him, you know he is right.

At first it was hard for you to trust him. He was always a mysterious person to you- calm, smart, ambitious. That makes him ... kind of a dangerous person.

But since you started "dating" him, it gets easier for you letting him take control in games you play both together.

"Promise you bring us out here alive ...?" "Not a big fan of promises, but this ... this is easy to handle."

He takes your hand you held out to him when you asked him that question. But not just to give you his word- he interlaces his fingers with yours instead, pulling you a little closer to him and making sure you stand by him.

Your face gets red like a tomato ...

"You know, you make the games a little more important to me, Y/N." "Huh? What do you mean?" "Your life matters more to me than my own life- so I'm willing to protect you. Even though it's just with my high level of intelligence." "... Well, who are you and what have you done to Chishiya?", you laugh while he is just giggling a little.

Fun is important to him, he doesn't want to think about dying the whole time.

So he doesn't want YOU to think of dying the whole time, too.

I guess Karube could be the one dancing with like crazy to the song. Not just moving his body back and forth.

More like Thanos and Nam-gyu did in the series ... I was laughing so hard when I saw them dancing on the plate. 😭

Back to topic; he just wants you to feel comfortable and, above all, safe around him.

He loves having you close to him. As long as you are with him, he is sure that he can do anything.

He is also willing to achieve everything he has set himself as a goal.

Accordingly, if he has made it his goal to leave the game with you ...

... then he WILL leave this game WITH you!

Means, without ifs and buts, he stays with you. From start to finish.

We know how impulsive Karube can be.

Anyone who stands in the way of him and his plans will never be happy again.

For example, the player who tried to push in front of him when you two were running in a room together.

Then he is simply grabbing the clothes and pulls the foreign person out of the room again- with force and full physical strength.

If the stranger is lucky, he gets away with a broken nose.

If not, he will die- Karube has no mercy for people blocking his way.

"Well, you know, it's not necessary always punching people in the face when they are just panicking and fighting for their lives, Babe ..." "I know, but I was panicking, too. And I want to live. And I want you to live, too, y/n. I want a future with you, not with a-" “Unknown human being!", you say, stopping him from uttering an insult. "You are too good for this world, love."

Bro's kinda rough to everyone, not just you. We all know what a beast he can be, so when it comes to finding group members, he will use every method that comes to his mind to make people join both of you.

Niragi isn't good with words. He would provoke the other players or manipulate them making sure you and himself can leave this game alive.

Yeah ... he has a soft spot for you.

Can you imagine him having a heart!? 😭

Anyways, his life isn't as important as yours, for him at least.

That's doesn't mean he wants to die in here!

You are just his priority, so when the voice is telling a number and other players don't want him to join their group, he would do ANYTHING that you are able to join a group.

Yep, he would grab people by their collar.

And he would punch and kick them if necessary.

... His firearm could also be used.

"Listen here, you litte fuck. You will make sure that you team up with her and you will make sure that you end up properly in one of these ugly rooms, that she gets out of here alive. Otherwise-" Niragi points his gun at the unknown player, ignoring your "No, stop! Put that down, are you crazy?!"

Damn, he would kill everyone in here to make sure you will survive, it's insane ...

You were bored at your room while your boyfriend was playing his video games, so you walked into his room while Arisu was too focused on that aspect of progressing game into a victory. Then he noticed you and pause his game, removing his gaming headphones when you gave your hand to him.

At first, he would be very confuse with a big blank stare and he questions why you’re taking your hand out to him. He tilted his head with confusion, like a little puppy as he stares at you.

For a moment, Arisu just caressed your hand with his thumb, then held your guys’ hands together and he sigh. Afterwards, he considered you joining into his game when you sat beside him, then Arisu grab one of his extra controllers and give it to you so that you can play with him.

Daikichi Karube

When you showed up at his bar, sitting down at the stool while your boyfriend was cleaning the bar table. You were smiling at him to which he adore you so much, he asked of you what drink do you want?

Then he gave your favourite alcohol beverages as you rest your chin on your palm, watching him continue cleaning the bar table and when you wave your hand to Karube and let your hand.

He would be so gentle with you into touching one of your fingers, then slowly held one of your guy’s hands together as he squeeze for a moment, just a gentleman treating his lover.

Then Karube would kissing your knuckles then to your palm, and locked eyes with such gentle intimacy to you as he smiles telling you I love you.

Segawa Chōta

Your boyfriend was talking to one of his friends, then you came into him as he was waving at you with a big smile.

Chota was looking at you and telling you how are you, just to check on you and showing he really cares about you.

At first when you took your hand out to him, he would be confused then normally high-five so awkwardly or so doing one of your guys’ couple high-fives. But if you attempt to still had your hand out then he would be very confused, just to look at you in the eyes and putting down your hand.

He would kissed your forehead and boop your nose instead, he would laughed at the sight of you and you were a little mad, but you loved him anyways.

Kōdai Tatta

While you were helping out with your boyfriend, repairing up the car as he underneath the car and asked you to grabbed the tools he was asking.

You pick up the tools for him like the wretch and screw driver, then at that moment when he still asked you. You take your hand out without tools that he was asking of, just your hand without anything holding.

As Tatta felt the softness from your palm then to your fingertips, while his hand was oiled up and dirty as he asked you where’s the tool that he was asking. So, he moved the cart and get up as he wipe off his face, looking at you in confused while staring at your hand.

He glances at you and questions about handing your hand to him, then suddenly he would held your hand and laughs but still is confused.

Tatta puts your hand towards his dirty face, looking at you like a little raccoon grabbing your affectionate attention to him. He just laughs and smiles at you.

Shuntaro Chishiya

I would say when you were trying to bring your boyfriend’s attention. He would flee away when you were trying to give your hand, just to see his reaction.

Consider that he may have ignore your silly gestures, Chishiya just knew what you’re doing and probably pretend in not knowing it.

No matter how long are you going to attempt to bring his attention, yet you failed but you were so determined to do it everyday.

So every time you approach to him: at the kitchen cooking your meal, busy talking on the phone with Kuina, too busy working at the hospital but had a break time lunch with you, or at the living room sitting down on the couch with his laptop while he was working.

Chishiya just likes to see how long are you gonna tired out of your silly little games. That every time you tried to see his reaction, it always backfires and you would be infuriated.

For a moment, after seeing your reaction as you were walking away, he always thought to himself on where’s the determined lover, who tried to bring his attention in given by their hand? And he would quietly laughed as he was teasing you for so long.

After ignoring your attempts, Chishiya just comes forward to you as he sat beside you in the couch, then grab your hand and kiss it as he hold your hands together into his. But you pout at him as he laughs, kissing you on the cheek, and apologizes while caressing your hand.

Keiichi Kuzuryū

When Kuzuryū was back from work and you kissed him in the lips, he removed his tie as he came to sat down in the dinning room.

Since you make dinner for tonight as he was eating the meal that you just made, he looked at you and tells your day and how has it been. Kuzuryū hadn’t been spending his time with you, and that he’s been too busy at work all the time.

You think of something coming from your mind as you get off the chair, then you approach to him. At first, Kuzuryū was lifting his eyebrows at you and asked you what are you doing? And that you shouldn’t be finishing your meal.

From you giving your hand out to him, you were smiling at him. But he just stares at you and to your hand that’s in front of him. He was resting his head on to his knuckles, then he gives a stare at you in silence as if he was likely uncertain of what were you trying to do.

Your boyfriend heavily sigh as he clean his lenses for a moment, then he look at you as he slowly held your hand together. Looking at your hand as his gaze softened and slowly smiles at you, he truly missed you so much that he pulled you into his lap. You were surprise as he was wrapping you by the waist, holding on to your hands as he kissed your cheek then to your knuckles. You laughed in clinging your hands around him and hugged him, he hugged you back and tells you that he misses you so much after work.

Alice in Borderland characters at Thanksgiving

I am aware that this is incredibly dumb because Japan doesn’t have Thanksgiving lol but I just thought this would be funny. So enjoy!

Arisu

I could see Arisu not even being there because his family sucks and doing a little Friendsgiving thing with Karube and Chota instead

But for fun, let’s say he does go

He’s become a master at finding places to hide and play his games and knowing when and how many times to resurface to make it seem like he isn’t hiding

Sits at the kids table

The kids definitely love him more than the adults

He encourages his cousins to steal money to pay for Fortnite skins

He ends up being the one the shyer kids open up to about their interests, and lets them because he of all people knows how it feels to get put down for your allegedly stupid interests

He (begrudgingly) lets his little girl cousins drag him to the bathroom to raid the makeup drawers and put makeup on him

He dramatically gasps and tells the girls he loves it to make them happy though

Doesn’t get involved in the family drama, but definitely loves to watch the shit go down

Avoids his more conservative relatives and their political conversations like the plague

Karube

Last to arrive, first to leave

Also sits at the kids table because they’re way more fun than the adults

He gets food with his shyer cousins so they don’t have to go by themselves

His designated contribution is the alcohol (he also brings pop for the kids)

Sometimes he’ll make a side dish and it’s always surprisingly completely eaten by the time the night’s over

Tries not to get involved in the political debates… but he almost always gets involved because of that one homophobic uncle

That one homophobic uncle always leaves with a black eye

He watches the family drama and definitely spills the tea to Arisu and Chota at their Friendsgiving

Chota

First to arrive and is immediately put to work in the kitchen

He helps cook everything and actually gets stressed out himself in the process

He texts Arisu and Karube that he’s a horrible cook everything will taste awful this is a disaster… then two minutes later goes “Oh ok the pudding’s thickening now nevermind”

His aunts love how helpful he is and always says he’s such a Sweet Boy for helping them

Also sits at the kids table (let’s just say most of these characters sit at the kids table lol)

Knows from being Arisu’s friend that some kids will hide by themselves for a while, so he tries to make sure they don’t miss out on dinner and dessert

Has become a master at guilt tripping his more conservative family members

If one of his uncles starts saying trans kids have something wrong with them, he turns to him with the look of a kicked puppy and tearfully asks him why he would say something so mean

He doesn’t get involved in the family drama and doesn’t know the context, but when the shit starts going down he texts Karube and Arisu live updates

“Oh shit Aunt Janet told Aunt Carol she’s jealous she doesn’t have a husband OH SHIT AUNT CAROL THREW HER DRINK AT HER WHILE I WAS TYPING THAT”

Usagi

Doesn’t like Thanksgiving because of both the history behind it and her family, but always decides to suck it up and go anyway

Arisu keeps inviting her to Friendsgiving, but she doesn’t want to impose on the guys’ little tradition

If nothing else, than at least she won’t have to cook dinner for herself for once

She quietly helps out in the kitchen

If she brings anything, she brings a side dish that’s not too difficult to make

Either sits at the kids table or sits by herself

She sadly becomes the relative that listens intently to everyone else’s stories and chatter, but gets cut off when she tries to talk about what she’s been up to

She doesn’t get involved in any political debates, but has become an expert at humbling relatives who have awful takes with Judging Looks

She does get a little vindictive enjoy from telling her male relatives that politics makes them really emotional and she doesn’t want to talk to them when they’re so high-strung

Shares the family drama that goes down with Arisu and they laugh about it together

Chishiya

Hates Thanksgiving and everything about it

Only goes for three things: the food, the wine, and the drama

Inadvertently ends up becoming the babysitter of his toddler-age cousins

He has no idea why or how, but at least the toddlers provide some entertainment

Never brings anything, except a bottle of wine that he exclusively keeps for himself

(And maybe his teenage cousins if he feels like being an enabler)

He could hypothetically destroy any of his conservative relatives in a political debate, but chooses not to because he thinks it’s a waste of time

If there’s one thing he does live for at Thanksgiving though, it’s the drama

He’s the one who keeps track of it all and fills family members in on the context of the powder keg that’s exploded this year

“Yes, Aunt Janet, we’re all aware of your devotion to essential oils. It’s too bad you couldn’t find one to keep Uncle Carl from divorcing you.” he says, calmly taking a sip of wine.

Hatter

He’s been designated as the one who brings the wine because he always gets the best

Always arrives fashionably late in a flurry of flashy yet tasteful clothes and cologne

He probably ends up drinking more wine than eating the food

Jumps between sitting at the kids table and sitting with the adults

He’ll sit at the kids table because he always manages to get the kids (or Little Gremlins, as he’s affectionately nicknamed them) to spill the hot gossip to him

He’s become the relative that the younger queer relatives feel the safest coming out to

Because this man is as pan as the day is long and you cannot change my mind

Listen I genuinely feel like if I came out as non-binary to him he would cheer loudly, ask me my pronouns, then get me a celebratory drink

If any of the kids accidentally get drunk on Thanksgiving, it’s entirely his fault

He LIVES for the family drama

He not only participates, but actively instigates it

“Tell me, Carol, is Ken having another affair or was it your bleached blonde head I saw blowing him in his car?”

Then he sends Aguni pictures of Ken’s face as he tries to explain himself to a fuming Carol

Niragi

Always makes sure to bring a main course dish to show off how good at cooking he is

If any of his relatives tell him his cooking sucks, he laughs and flips them off

The one all the other cousins are scared of

And yet the one the great-aunts and grandmothers all think is a nice boy

Somehow gets along with his youngest cousins the best (they’re not old enough to think he’s weird yet lol)

Eggs on their roughhousing

His four-year-old cousin is kicking his sister, his sister is kicking back, and there’s Niragi on the couch with them going “Fight! Fight! Fight!”

Could outdrink his uncles and does

Absolutely hates football games. Only puts up with them because he likes to make bets with his relatives and win every time.

Fuels the fervor of political debates by being a troll, just sits there and grins like he thinks Uncle Jim is so fucking stupid for having such incorrect opinions.

Eggs on drama from the sidelines.

Aunt Carol and Aunt Janet are squabbling, and he’s off to the side with a glass of wine going like “OHHH, are you gonna let her talk to you that way, Aunt Carol???”

Just contributes to all the chaos and does not help fix any of it lol

synopsis: my lovely gf @bvrdel-mama wanted to mix manga and show chishiya and team them up with my cyberpunk 2020 oc - or rather - a very smart cat meets a very cunning mouse who claims his life as hers.

warnings: canon-typical violence, graphic descriptions of violence, sexual abuse, substance abuse, niragi, literally everything, you name it. this chapter in particular is not that heavy, but be warned.

formatting: it's a glued-together dynamic roleplay, so the replies are separated by ♠♥♦♣, and the dialogues are written like — This. —

statistics: 1,764 words 9,835 characters.

author's note: matrix and i came up with this silly-little-roleplay to help me with the aib brainrot and here we are, 60+ pages in google docs. beware, it's long. so, let's start this journey together, shall we? ♡

Chishiya could sense danger from miles away, be it aggressive players he could avoid - like Niragi, or the dumb ones he could manipulate into getting over traps he didn’t want to trigger himself. He could tell which game arena could have the probability to be diamonds, could read people’s gestures well enough to know if they’re hiding something or straight up cheating. He knew his limits as well, and that’s why he kept coming prepared - in case of inconvenient situations he could de-escalate using a homemade stun gun, for example. He knew whom to show a well-crafted mask of respect.

He quickly picked up that game arenas provided electricity he needed to charge up his little inventions sometimes, batteries running out fast when he wasn’t at The Beach, scanning local surroundings and trying to figure out patterns of arena locations.

He was always one step ahead, had everything planned, calculated every possibility - that's why he was always prepared for the future events.

This time danger came in the form of a woman embraced by Niragi’s arm; Chishiya saw her maybe for the second time. It was obvious he hated Niragi - who at The Beach didn’t - but for someone to be as close to that psychopath? Shuntarō could only laugh about this to himself. That poor creature didn’t know what she's gotten herself into, but it was interesting to see the militant showing off his newly acquired toy around The Beach, posing a threat to anyone who would have laid their eyes on the woman.

She had piercing, cold, grayish-blue eyes and she was clearly a foreigner, but to everyone's surprise, she had the perfect accent and spoke Japanese fluently - better than some natives around The Beach. When around people, she would always spot Chishiya's blonde hair, scanning his posture; she often tilted her head just so slightly, observing him, just like he would observe commotion at parties around the pools.

She didn't avoid partying.

And they never got paired up in the same game.

It was the start of her second week at The Beach when she came triumphantly from seven of diamonds, and although that game was cleared once before, Hatter couldn't resist but to ask her to join the executives. Before that, though, he’s called a meeting.

Ann was already present, her posture relaxed yet her face serious; sitting across from Niragi she couldn't help but to be alert, as the smirking man had carried a machine gun with him at all times. next to Niragi stood Last Boss, balancing himself over his sheathed katana, face as blank as his mind. No thoughts, head empty.

Neither Hatter nor Aguni were present yet, but the chatter has already started. Mira was delighted, smiling widely as she chatted with Kuzuryū about the subject of today's gathering.

— She came back from the game all by herself, — she clasped her hands together, her eyes glimmering with excitement. — Completely unscathed! Could you believe that?

A man next to her, with a completely poker face lacking any emotions, nodded slowly. Keiichi paid attention to Mira's chirping, sure, but he wasn't the one to gossip around until he had his information confirmed - and that could only happen with Hatter's soon-to-be announcement.

Apparently, something that Niragi bragged about, was the way she was thinking. it was him who brought her to The Beach after 6 of hearts - knowing that she completed a „diamonds game” before (not knowing the difficulty). It took some time for participants to cooperate (his gun was very helpful as they refused to listen to fragile female foreigner). What the militant found fascinating was the way she found flaws in the rules and used them to their advantage. To him, it was as she found a bug in a video game and exploited it (and as a video games engineer it was very intriguing to him, how she was thinking out of the box). As a diamonds player himself, he just couldn't let her talent go to waste.

Chishiya noticed her right away, it's the thing they say sometimes - wolf recognizes wolf and it was true this time. Niragi may be an unpredictable psychopath of a person, but he was also extremely smart and chose his partners for games really, really well. Chishiya knew that if he chose the woman she must've been special or at least as cunning as him and Niragi.

After doing a bit of digging he learnt that she cleared a diamonds game, a hearts game and clubs game, which confirmed his suspicions - she was ruthless, could work well under pressure and if needed could cooperate with other people to achieve her goals. Her old life was as much of a mystery as Chishiya himself - he knew she was a stripper, and knew shibari which definitely came pretty handy in some of the games. 

Hatter noticed her too, and shortly after arriving at The Beach she was starting to crawl around the executives. It wasn't unusual that Hatter would invite someone with so little vacancy to his inner circle and it seemed like that was what was going to happen soon. This morning apparently he had an announcement to make and so Chishiya entered their meeting hall with a confident smirk and hands in the pockets of his white hoodie.

Chishiya shrugged at Mira’s words sitting down next to her.

— We all did at some point, didn't we? — he inquired rhetorically.

Chishiya's late appearance wasn't left unnoticed - but it was only when he spoke the rest of the executives got aware of his presence. He's been known to appear and disappear at will, and although he was at The Beach for quite some time now, it was still mildly inconvenient. Sometimes, even if needed, no one could find him.

It's a part of the charm, some would say.

Mira let Shuntarō's comment slide, still as excited as before. She turned her gaze to the blonde, cheeks flushed.

— It was a very difficult game, — she started, like she was about to tell a story; her tone of voice full of suspension, as she leaned close to the table and eyed each person in the room. — A seven of diamonds! — she then exclaimed cheerfully.

Niragi grinned yet again, nodding at Mira's words. The man looked straight at Chishiya, shooting him a cynical smile.

— Maybe there's finally someone as smart as me. — he stated.

There was a sudden change of expression on the resident hearts player's face, as she pouted slightly, her face imitating a child.

— You didn't listen, did you? — Mira exhaled, looking at Chishiya with a bit of irritation in her gaze. — She was the only survivor! Isn't that intriguing you? I thought it could pique your interest.

Chishiya answered, still looking at Niragi. Of course it piqued his interest but what is there in for him to reveal that? Especially in front of the psychopath who already got his hands on her. He shrugged.

— Of course I listen, I just suggest for you to think of the events that may have occurred before she came out of the arena. — he shrugged. — You're smart enough to come up with those, are you not?

The scent of alcohol and the thud of heavy combat boots steps on the floor announced number one and number two's arrival in the meeting room.

Hatter was never seen with his sunglasses off, and it was probably for the better - who would've wanted to see the man with his drunken gaze leading the masses into that falsely proclaimed utopia. He stood at the honorable spot, right in front of the whole wall with cards neatly painted with spray paint. Seven of diamonds was already marked with a huge black X, courtesy of Chishiya.

When the black haired woman opened her mouth to speak again, and Niragi adjusted his rifle in case he had to escalate the situation between him and the blonde, Hatter cleared his throat, smiling. Aguni stood by his side, unfazed.

— You all already know the meaning of this meeting, — he started, leaning on the chair. — Unmei is not only really smart, apparently, but one of her games was already supervised by one of our executives. Niragi thinks she's gonna be a great addition to our organization, as yet another of the militia representatives. And I agree. — he added.

Chishiya glanced at Niragi and then at his rifle. He rolled his eyes smirking assholishly at the new executive's „supervisor” and turned his mildly interested face to Hatter. Underneath the façade he couldn't wait to see what the new girl was about, he couldn't wait to crack into her head and solve her like a puzzle.

Shuntarō scoffed out loud. Militia representative? Those numbnuts wouldn't know which way was left and right if it wasn't for Aguni and the tight leash he keeps on Niragi. He didn't say that out loud, but the thought of yet another cunning person with a gun by her belt did unsettle him a tiny bit. It meant trouble and Chishiya didn't like trouble unless it was caused by him.

— So? Any objections before I bring her in? — Hatter stood up and spread his arms, like he wanted to embrace his precious allies.

Niragi adjusted his machine gun yet again, smirking; he used it as a threat. They disagree, he makes it everyone's problem. No one dared to say no, not risking getting shot. Aguni kept his stance, not pulling the leash on Niragi's metaphorical collar. Seemed like he had already made up his mind.

— he´s not too jealous, but sometimes there are a few things he deeply dislikes. for example, when you´re at the bar and some random person shamelessly comes up to you and starts filtring right in front of him like?? but he wouldn´t be really agressive, he would just glare at them until they get the hint. if the person doesn´t, he would just tell him right away you´re his partner and wait till they leave.

— karube isn´t really patience with things around him and probably gets frustrated easily with things that doesn´t come out like he wants them or he just randomly gets angry at random stuff. however, he´s actually way more patience with you and will never raise his voice at you even when you do something that annoys him. and if he accidentally did it would apologise right away.

— medium probably. i think he has a lot of things on his mind all the time so he would probably forget about things, but he def remebers things that are really important to you. like, if its a minium detail that you mentioned once he would forget it right away. but if you talk about it a few times, or if he know is actually important to you he would randomly think about it, and if you ask him anything about would remember it pretty clearly.

— i think when you finally decided to move together. the feeling of starting a project as big as that with someone he´s so in love with makes him feel butterflies everytime he remembers it. the moment you told him, the way you both joked around as you unpacked, when you two started to discuss the decoration. he totally talked about it to chota and arisu for MONTHS, even tough they literally begged him to stop and he just kept going to happy to saving it to himself literally rambling about the WHOLE process not caring that it´s probably the most normal thing and he already said it like a thousand times.

— your personal body guard, literally always watching after you. he literally wouldn´t doubt to put himslef in danger if it means he gets to protect you. no one dares to mess with you because he jumps at them right away if he sees you uncomfortable. and lets not even talk about the borderlands. he would hate playing a game without you not knowing if you're safe or not. and if you are playing the same game, he always have you close to him in case something happens and he is always in front of you just to be sure and to be able to protect you if somethings comes up, and believe me, he would give his life for you if necessary.

— totally. as i said before, karube is the type of person who thinks a lot about his future with the person he loves, and i think that if for some reason you left his life, he would feel completely empty and it would be very difficult for him to try to exclude you from those plans that he had wanted so much to fulfill with you. he would totally show all this emotions and pain in anger, and would distance himself until he feels a little better again but would be way more snappy than before and will take a long time for him to actually recover.

dating chishiya is a challenge. his personality conflicts with a good majority of others, which is why it's so hard to catch his interest.

despite this, you somehow managed to catch his attention. something about you really stuck out to him the first time he saw you in a game.

it was a game of clubs, and you happened to seem like the most bearable option to team up with, so you temporarily worked together. and that, my friends, is how you first met him.

there weren't any formal introductions. no 'hi, nice to meet you' or, 'hey, my name is.' he simply teamed up with you, and that was all that it was in his eyes.

he thought that he would never see you again. so you can imagine his surprise when you popped up at the beach only a week later.

kuina was the one to formally 'introduce' you two.

the two of you clicked when you first met, and she saw potential in you. she imagined that chishiya might as well, so she decided to test her theory out.

as she expected, chishiya was surprised by your abilities and thought that you would be a good asset to his plan. just another pawn, at first. somebody for him to use in a dire situation to save his skin.

but that would soon change ;)

he just scratched the surface with you during your initial meeting. as time went on, he quickly realized that there was more to you than he first assumed.

chishiya is not one to instigate any type of conversation, so you had to do that part. as you spoke to each other more and more, you began to reveal more about yourself.

chishiya, for the most part, stayed closed off, but he gained a newfound interest in all that you had to offer the more you told him.

it took a while. chishiya is not one to fall fast. i'm not 100% sure how long he was in the borderlands for, but it would take him months to actually feel that spark of emotion towards you.

expect a lot of withdrawal for the first bit.

feelings are new to him. in his mind, it's a weakness. the way he felt towards you would only get in the way of his plan. so naturally, he pushed his feelings down and avoided you.

in this stage, you would have to confront him or else he would refuse to change his ways.

that confrontation would probably go pretty bad. although he doesn't want to admit it, the thought of being in love with someone scares him, and fear drives him to act coldly to you. this would lead to some pretty hurtful words being sent your way.

when you tell him that you have feelings for him, you'll probably get rejected at first because of this fear and hesitation.

he only realized how strong his feelings were when you got put into immediate danger

i imagine a game where you almost died, or a serious injury that could potentially leave you bed-ridden to the point of an expired visa.

this is when he realizes how important you are to him, and when he finally gives into how he feels.

chishiya is not a very affectionate person, so don't expect a lot of pda. or affection in general, really.

the furthest he'll go with pda is hand holding, but that is something extremely rare.

in private, he'll give you hugs and sometimes cuddles, but kissing is definitely reserved for special occasions.

even so, he shows you his love in other ways. mostly silent ways, because he's awkward as hell with his feelings and finds it difficult to express them.

this involves making you coffee in the morning, bringing you a fresh towel when you forget one, and most importantly... making sure you stay away from the militants.

this all happens without your knowledge. he never tells you that he was the one who picked up your dirty laundry off the floor, or that he was the one who watered the plant in your room. but you know it's him, and you appreciate it.

as i hinted at, he is slightly protective over you.

mostly when it comes to the militants. he doesn't like them around you, because he knows they're nothing but trouble.

he knows that you're plenty capable of going through the games on your own. he realized that when he first met you, which is why he rarely tries to go to the same game with you. but it doesn't stop him from worrying.

if you ever get hurt, he prefers you let him deal with it instead of going to ann. he wants to make sure you get the best medical attention possible, and he's aware he's the only one who can do that for you.

speaking of medical attention, he'll open up about his past to you at some point.

it will probably be a couple months into the relationship. he needs to know that you and him will stay together before he decided to spill the beans.

of course you questioned him about his vast knowledge of the medical field, but until he decides to open up to you, he plays it off.

'i read a book on this once. that's all.'

'it's really not hard. doesn't take a genius to figure out.'

you're going to have to be the one to initiate a lot of your firsts.

you'll definitely be the one to ask him out.

you're singlehandedly the most important thing in his life and would do almost anything for you.

during the ten of hearts game, he made sure you were safely outside of the burning building the moment the game was completed.

he couldn't bare to lose you after going through such a grueling process of finding out how much you mean to him, so expect to become a top priority.

despite what most people think, he treats you like royalty and would never intentionally hurt you after you start dating. he's just good like that <3

karube is very forward about his feelings, so it didn't take long for the two of you to get together.

he met you during one of his late night shifts at the bar. he couldn't help but wonder how somebody as stunning as you was alone at a place like that.

he struck up a conversation with you while making your drink, and before you knew it, you had scored yourself a date with your bartender.

he is also a total romantic, which lead to a great first date.

he totally went to you for your input, asking you the corny question of 'what's your dream date?'

after doing all that he could to make sure the setting was perfectly suited for you, he bought you some flowers and asked you lots of questions.

he's a charmer. this helped him get to know you incredibly fast, and by the time the night ended, the second date was already halfway planned out.

you ended the day with a successful peck on the lips, and by that point, your relationship status was basically set in stone.

you officially started dating after the third date!

this boy is the most overprotective out of the bunch.

he will not stand for someone disrespecting you. we already know that karube isn't afraid to get physical, and he's definitely not afraid to defend someone he loves.

with this overprotectiveness also comes a lot of jealousy. you may have had to break up a few fights between him and some guy who looked at you in a way reserved for karube only.

he treats you like you're made of glass, honestly. he doesn't want to hurt your feelings and doesn't want to see anyone else take advantage of you.

he makes sure not to smoke around you because he doesn't want to potentially affect your health or wellbeing. he's really sweet about it.

one of his favorite places to kiss you is your cheek, solely because he loves to feel it heat up under his lips when you don't expect it. his favorite part of being affectionate with you is your cute reactions.

Her almost leaning into him, playful smile on her face, coy but alert eyes analyzing body language of each and every executive member gathered in the hall. It was so obviously an act it was painful for him to watch. The use of the traditional Japanese cultural bow from a foreigner's side was a nice touch, definitely working on some of the executives. Japanese people are known to be wary of foreigners and even if the world as they know went to shit, it was still deeply rooted into their subconsciousness.

Shuntarō smirked and laughed to himself quietly when she tried to make herself small in front of these people by diminishing her impressive achievement - a seven of diamonds. A wolf recognizes a wolf dressed in sheep's clothing - and oh, she was very good at playing both parts. Shuntarō was intrigued even more now, she could be a really really good addition to his plan.

Hatter's clap brought Chishiya back from the darkness of his cold, analytical mind and his eyes snapped to Unmei's face. He clenched his jaw at the question, there was a short pause before anyone spoke. Her achievement was impressive but she spoke herself - she didn't play many games and the more senior members and those who fell for her cute-sy, unsure persona might be taken aback by a possibility of taking a newbie under their wing.

Shuntarō slowly raised his left hand, tilting his head and looking into her gray, cold eyes. He then exclaimed in the most uninterested tone ever:

— My visa ends in 2 days anyways, might as well kill two birds with one stone.

Ice cold gaze melted with each word Chishiya spoke, making Unmei lean even more into Niragi's embrace, much to the taller man's enjoyment.

— Really? I'm so, so, so glad! — she clasped her hands, a thankful expression on her face. — I've heard you have so much experience, I'll definitely be safe with you, right?

Her last question wasn't directed at Chishiya at all - she looked straight at Niragi, like she was looking for a confirmation... or maybe an order. Niragi hated Chishiya, so putting his little partner in crime into a game with him could end up badly. But here's the deal - it's such a thrill to try to check it by themselves.

Niragi, on the other hand, looked suspiciously pleased with Chishiya's offer.

Maybe she wasn't a wolf in sheep's clothing. Maybe she was an obedient, naïve lamb.

Shuntarō put his hand down, his gaze ping-ponging between the Hatter, Niragi and Unmei. The woman was too... intense for his liking now, but if his suspicions are correct and they usually are, she can and will eventually calm down or reveal the colder side he sees.

The psychopath smiled at the possibility of Chishiya supervising the new girl. Why? - Shuntarō narrowed his eyes at him for a brief second. It seemed like for now she listened to his every word, and spoke directly to Niragi even though the question asked by her suggested being directed to Chishiya. Was he trying to learn what Chishiya's planning through her? It made him slightly nervous but in a thrilled way - a conflict on a horizon, one he could spin around and use to his advantage.

Chishiya leaned in his chair and smirked at Niragi, answering the questions asked through him.

— No one's ever really safe here, you should already know that, but I'll try to bring you back alive to the best of my ability.

The perceptive eyes of the blonde man noticed some more details on the woman, for example - lots of faded, barely visible scars on her thighs, suggesting either knife play, or that she had a history of self-harm in one of the most noticeable places - like she was seeking attention. Anyway, what a girl with short pink hair would be longing for, if not being noticed? Even if the dye faded, she still dressed vulgarly, with smudged black eyeshadow and eyeliner and her lashes covered in a thick layer of mascara. No wonder why of all people, she piqued Niragi's interest.

Abusive men - so what, she had daddy issues? Probability was indeed very high.

She listened to Chishiya's every word - even if she looked at Niragi with her pupils shaped into hearts, metaphorically, it was obvious. When she turned back to Shuntarō, her sugar covered lips curved into a  flirtatious smile.

— Alright, if no one has any questions, the meeting's dismissed. — it was Hatter who finally broke the acts of shameless public displays of affection, and most of the executives decided to leave as soon as possible. It was uncomfortable to watch as Unmei clinged onto Niragi, and the way he let her do it - although it was something new, he never allowed it with his other toys.

Shuntarō scanned her body closer, the cute façade hid pretty dark experiences beneath the surface - either an abusive past or a knack for masochism. Pink dyed hair - a symptom of attention deficit or perhaps of a not-giving-a-fuck-what-anyone-thinks kind of attitude. 

And when she smiled at him, there was something devious about the smile, Chishiya thought. He returned the gesture, although it was the kind of smile someone gives another person when they feel bad for them - a condescending one if you will.

Hatter closed the meeting and the hall began to empty, he was one of the last ones to leave, still analyzing Unmei and all of the possible advantages her presence in his plans could give him. When passing by the two love birds he nodded politely, closing his eyes when doing so.

— I'll find you later. — he said matter-of-factly to the girl - it sounded almost like a challenge or a threat. Like she was supposed to hide from the blond man.

If Unmei noticed the thoughts behind Chishiya's smile, she didn't show it at all, instead tilting her head slightly, like she's a little bit stupid. If she was as smart as Shuntarō thought, why would she continue playing dumb, especially when Niragi couldn't see the face she was making towards the blonde?

when the dark of the night comes around that's the time

As he was leaving, Unmei waved him goodbye with her fingers in a coquette-like mannerism.

— I'm sure you will~ — she hummed, her attention focused back on Niragi.

that the animal comes alive lookin' for somethin' wild

For now, she wasn't hard to spot. Evenings at The Beach were pretty predictable, and so were Niragi's habits - and as he sat there, on the sunbed, Unmei's legs on his own (he held her thigh, massaging the inner part of it), the party continued as always.

and now we lookin' like pimps in my gold trans am

Foreigner looked a bit bored, maybe pouty, while Niragi kept chatting with various Beach members including the militants and the idealists. Her glass was never empty, but even after drinking alcohol she seemed unhappy with the turn of events. What came next was either done out of boredom, or for a show - who could know, but she must've had enough of current activities, getting up and pulling Niragi with her.

It was probably the first time Niragi let go of his assault rifle in a crowded space, and the first time he danced - it wasn't that he lacked skill, he just didn't let anyone close enough to do so. Each previous girl he had briefly played with was pretty much kept as far as possible, and he didn't care about their entertainment, so that was an unexpected activity, to see him holding Unmei as close as possible while dancing body to body, her back pressed against his chest, her butt rubbing against his crotch, his hands wandering around her exposed skin. It wasn't just the militant saying she belongs to me, no, now she also claimed her position as his precious little treasure, making sure everybody saw it.

So either she needed protection and decided the pierced man was good enough, or she really fell into his trap.

She had glitter on her cheeks and black lipstick about to be smudged by niragi's lips eventually; her eyes were closed as she rocked her body to the rhythm, killing time before her first game as an official Beach member - and also the first one to decide if she's fit as executive or not.

it's a hole in the wall, it's a dirty free for all

Soon there will be cars and people assigned to drive players with expiring visas around tokyo to destined game arenas, and she just couldn't help but smile at the thought of having to cooperate with Chishiya. But right now, she had Niragi's lips on her neck, and fingers tangled in his hair.

And yet she was waiting for Shuntarō's appearance, perfectly aware of her surroundings - of the number of people around them, of the number of people staring, of the number of people swimming; the drunk ones, the high ones, the fucked up ones and the fucked ones.

Chishiya chuckled to himself at the display of innocent stupidity mixed with flirtatiousness, put his chin upwards a bit and smirked before turning his gaze to Niragi and giving him a quick glance up and down. He then turned around and ignoring Unmei's attempt at having the last word in this brief conversation exited the hall.

It was too early to say if this Unmei character fit the description of the type of person needed to steal the cards from Hatter. The jury is still out on the verdict if she could be easily manipulated and led where Chishiya wanted her. What would she want?

For now it seemed that all she wanted was to party, get drunk and high as Shuntarō observed her from one of the rooftops dancing by the pool with Niragi. She made him do something impossible - part ways with his assault rifle, however briefly. They danced pressed up against each other, and she sure knew not only how to dress vulgarly, but to act like it too. Niragi's hands sliding across her body incoherently as the alcohol in his system began to work. What could they want from each other? Protection? Maybe it's the situation where one of the predators makes themselves seem small in order to gather protection from a bigger, badder wolf. Sex? Probably. Fun? The psychopath was unpredictable, maybe it gave her the thrill, evoked emotions she rarely felt?

A voice broke his quiet contemplation time. It was Kuina, in her skimpy bikini and a cigarette hanging from her mouth.

— So, you found someone? — she questioned passing Chishiya a bottle of beer.

He took it, opened it on a nearby half-wall and took a sip, looking directly at Unmei, narrowing his eyes. She was grinding on Niragi's crotch. So unnecessarily vulgar, he thought.

— Maybe, too early to tell. - he answered. - I'm supervising her in the next game. I'll know by then. — he said, taking another longer sip of his beer.

She was a stripper, after all. She knew how to dance, how to balance her body against someone else, how to look pretty and feel free while doing so. How many lap dances has she done? Hundreds? Thousands? For how long the pole was her only companion on stage, where curious gazes scanned every inch of her skin?

She knew, most importantly - how to entertain the masses, get attention and charm others without even speaking a word. It worked - everybody will be able to recognise her from now on, noticing where she is and where she's not, and if she ever disappeared out of sight, it was easy to tell who is being looked for. and not only because she was from a different country, but also because she embossed herself in their memory.

she knows when she's dressed to kill, she'll put a bullet in your heart just to feel the thrill

Unmei being pretty was a question everybody had to answer themselves, but what she did was cool and she did fit in with the crowd, and that was enough to gain sympathy and somewhat a sense of safety. Acceptance, was the word. She blended in so she could be accepted and perceived as an ally. Clever, perhaps, if those were her true intentions.

she walks like she's walkin' on water, she moves like the boss's daughter

Niragi was sliding his hands through her belly down her shorts, probably just a tease, a threat to those who'd tried to do the same. And then the music stopped, the speakers invited The Beach members to the lobby. Unmei didn't care - her eyes closed for a few more moments, as she sang the rest of the song, still holding Niragi. He was about to part their bodies, but she held him. And he obeyed.

— She rides like a '67 chevy, in her drop top red and white and blue; ohh, what she does to me - with her long dark hair and her sexy thighs, baby, let me come inside~

— We gotta move, babygirl. — Niragi insisted, before she could continue, and she smiled at him so innocently, letting him guide her to the main hall where the real party started.

Hatter was known for his motivational speeches, but Unmei clung to Niragi's arm as the chaos after them emerged - people pushing others to get to the parking lot, correct cars, holding pieces of paper for random teams they had been assigned. It was Chishiya who was supposed to look for Unmei, so she took her sweet time waiting next to a pillar in the corner of the space, letting the militant press her to the cold wall and whisper sweet nothings onto her ear.

Kuina went to sit down next to Chishiya on the half-wall. The blond man raised his pointer finger of the hand he was holding his beer in, highlighting the pair of love birds on the dancefloor for his companion. They were tangled in each other's bodies, definitely the center of attention, displaying themselves for everyone to see.

— There, the woman with blonde hair. — Chishiya said, leaning into Kuina's space.

Kuina narrowed her eyes and observed Niragi and Unmei for a brief moment.

— Girl, Niragi? There are choices we make, but this... this is a choice. — she chuckled looking at Chishiya, as if for confirmation.

Shuntarō shrugged and looked at Kuina.

— It's a smart choice. He's well situated within Hatter's inner circle, everyone is afraid of him, and he never parts ways with his gun. — he answered, not confirming Kuina's way of thinking. — Although he is revolting, it's a smart choice to wrap someone like that around your finger, and I'm sure he sees some uses in her as well. — he added.

After Chishiya uttered those words the speakers' blasting music transformed into Hatter's personal voice amplifiers. He sure did like to make a loud entrance, and just like the girl dancing seductively against the crotch of a psychopath with an assault rifle - he liked attention. Everyone was called into the main hall and Chishya knew it was his cue. He nodded at Kuina and patted her back and soon he was walking down the stairs and walking towards the pair pressed against each other next to a pillar.

They seemed to be briefly occupied with themselves not noticing him when he walked up so he stood there for a solid minute, before clearing his throat.

— You ready to go or do you need a couple more minutes of privacy? — he asked. — Although I doubt we've got time for that. — he added, tilting his head.

Unmei might've noticed Chishiya, he could swear she glanced in his direction for a brief second, but either ignored him, or really didn't see him. Patting softly on Niragi's back, the stripper made her partner pull back, although reluctantly, and then smiled apologetically at her supervisor.

— Sorry! — she chirped, giggling softly. — Got really caught up in the moment. It's been a while since I could connect to someone on such... personal level.

When she spoke, there was something ominous in her gaze, like she was not only posing a threat, but also foreshadowing an unlucky future ahead. But that was it. On the other hand, Niragi looked at Chishiya like he was about to murder him, not even with his rifle, but with his bare hands. He clenched his teeth, but in the end relaxed when Unmei pressed a soft kiss on his lips. She had to stand on her tiptoes just to reach, pulling on militant's shirt for balance.

The black piece of clothing was soon found on the girl's arms, the white outline of giraffe pattern matching perfectly with her carefully chosen outfit.

— Here, Babe. A good luck charm.
